I thee bed.

For better or for worse, a Chicago millennial is going viral after she and her groom made the nontraditional decision to change out of their fancy wedding garb and into comfy casualwear for their reception.

“Most brides want to put on a sparkly white dress as a second outfit,” Kaila Gilbert Zimmerman captioned a TikTok post this month with snapshots of the couple’s big day.

“Me: Let’s wear pajamas!!” she wrote, sharing photos of herself and her husband, Danny, in identical black and white T-shirts with their last name on the front and “just married” on the back.

Zimmerman paired her shirt with white biker shorts and white tennis shoes, while her new husband opted for black tracksuit joggers and white tennies.

“Be original. Do your own thing!” she captioned the TikTok, which has notched 1.2 million views. “Wearing spandex & an oversized t-shirt was amazing after being in a dress all day.”

Zimmerman told The Post on Tuesday: “We made the decision to change into PJs because after being in a suit and a dress all day, the only thing we wanted to do was be comfortable.”

“It also felt unique, I hadn’t seen many people do it before so we wanted to do it,” she said, adding that she changed out of her dress with two songs left at the reception.

“Our guests were definitely surprised, but there was an extremely positive reaction when we changed into pajamas,” Zimmerman continued. “I 100% recommend this to other couples. As if the entire night wasn’t amazing already, wearing pajamas made the rest of the night super enjoyable & fun. It felt very us.”

Many commenters said “yes” to the daring move, applauding the pair for the “genius” idea.

“Yessss, time to get comfy and party!!!!” one viewer wrote.

“I never understood reception dresses/ outfit changes until I spent 12+ hours in a ball gown with 8 layers of tulle 😳,” another admitted.

Another chimed in: “Pajama supremacy.”

Countless commenters confessed that they, too, chose to get comfy for their celebrations.

“I changed into a black jogger set after my mum went home and moshed about the dance floor,” one offered.

“For our 2nd reception at a bar. changed into short shorts, cowboy boots and a tshirt. did all 1st dances there and partied,” another described.

A rowdy person added: “I did this at my wedding. I ended up in pjs and the groom ended up in my dress.”

A few other brides explained why they didn’t take off their wedding dress until the big night was over.

“That’s so cute! I just stayed in my dress cause it was expensive as well as it being too hard to get off but I was wearing Crocs underneath,” one shared.

“Everyone pressured me to change out of my dress after midnight and im like nah bruh, I paid too much for this dress and I’m never wearing it again,” another reasoned.
